Client Information
The University of Northern Iowa is a medium-sized school with a big campus feel. The university's main .edu website was upgraded to match the school's outsized spirit with a responsive design and improved user experience on Drupal 7. Promet Source also helped UNI redesign the School of Continuing Education and Special Program's Drupal site.
Project overview
As part of Promet's role in an ongoing Drupal Support capacity, UNI consulted with the Drupal experts at Promet Source to move the university's vision for a responsive, user-friendly website to UNI's School of Continuing Education and Special Programs. The mission for UNI's School of Continuing Education and Special Programs involves using the best available technologies for distance learning and other opportunities for ongoing education that might fall outside the realm of a traditional on-campus learning experience.
The first step is to create a website that is up to the mission and Promet was selected to help make this vision a reality. With their new Drupal site, the SCESP will be able to meet students who are engaged in ongoing and distance education programs in a responsive site that connects them with all of the resources they need for success.
Promet Source conducted user experience discovery workshops to kick off the improved usability for a new Drupal site. Promet worked in tandem with UNI's design team to create a theme and site architecture with Drupal best practices in mind.
Promet continues to consult UNI on Drupal site maintenance and help grow the Drupal developer community in north central Iowa by sponsoring Drupal camps and meetups in UNI's backyard.
