Project overview
Leveraging an opportunity to develop a web presence that no longer needed to be shared with an affiliated division, Pulsafeeder partnered with Promet Source on the redesign of its website and migration from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8.
Key among the objectives: closer alignment of the site with marketing initiatives, stronger lead capture capabilities, enhanced opportunities for contact with prospects and customers, an updated user experience, clear positioning of the company as a market leader, and a sharper focus on end users within industries served.
The redesigned Drupal 8 website represented a significant leap forward in demonstrating Pulsatron’s technological leadership, with features that included three-dimensional product images and the enabling of video streaming. The upgrade to a new content management system has also empowered content editors to easily make revisions and updates to the site whenever needed. From a sales and business development standpoint, a key advantage of the new site involves new capabilities for capturing contact information from customer and prospect inquiries, which is serving as the foundation of a new customer relationship management system.
Technical Specifications
The Drupal Layout Builder is a core module that enables content editors to create and customize layouts with an easy-to-use drag-and-drop functionality.
The Easy Breadcrumb module facilitates navigation, using the existing URL of a page and the page title to automatically extract segments of the breadcrumb and associated links.
The Media Library module simplifies the content editor experience by enabling storing and easily retrieving media items for reuse.
The YouTube Field module provides a field that allows for the addition of Youtube videos of various sizes, along with a responsive option, and includes a thumbnail display.
