Iryna graduated from University of Economics and has a Master’s Degree in economics. As a financial manager she was working for big corporations like Procter&Gamble and PwC.  She even tried her hand in TV shows as a financial controller.

But then she decided to follow her high school dream of working in IT.  Iryna left finance and joined the QA team at Gorilla Group, a Chicago-based Magento eCommerce outsource company (Ukraine office). She passed the test and got her ISTQB foundation level in testing (this is not the end!) and passed the course for the basic level of linux administration. Working with Gorilla Group gave her a variety of testing skills and the opportunity of working with a great number of different e-commerce clients.

After 4 years with Gorilla she moved to Chicago and spent her first months as a freelancer.  As a freelancer, working together with her husband, Iryna managed a team of several developers - working as a PM, business analyst and QA, all-in-one. It was a tough but very useful experience!

Iryna absolutely loves testing and she says it was not a mistake to leave the finance world and start doing things she really enjoys every day!

In her free time Iryna enjoys dancing salsa, doing yoga, capoeira and of course snowboarding together with her family.
