Promet sponsors DrupalCon Chicago 2011

Promet can’t wait to sponsor the largest Drupal conference ever to come to Chicago: DrupalCon Chicago 2011, held March 7-10, 2011, at the Sheraton Hotel & Towers! This one-of-a-kind event will draw attendees from all over the world and from all Drupal skill levels and backgrounds. It will be held right in downtown Chicago, just a short walk from the city’s major attractions.

About Drupal
As the open source content management system currently used to power millions of websites worldwide, Drupal is a platform found everywhere from big government and major educational institutions to private businesses and personal websites.

About DrupalCon
DrupalCon is more than just a few days of Drupal information: it’s a shared learning and networking experience for the wide community of Drupal users, which reaches across the globe and throughout diverse skill levels. There will be corporate leaders, web developers, web designers, project managers, themers, students, and hobbyists—users from all levels, gathered together from around the globe to inspire, engage, network, and learn from each other.

About DrupalCon Chicago 2011
Not only is DrupalCon Chicago 2011 a great opportunity to gather with other Drupal users, but it also will be filled with tons of resources and information. Keynote speakers include Clay Shirky, Jared Spool, and Dries Buytaert. Dozens of sessions and panels will be led by some of the best and brightest in the Drupal community, with topics targeted at everyone from brand-new users to seasoned experts.

Plus, the event will feature a first for DrupalCon: a day stage with exclusive content like lightning talks, author presentations, case studies, demonstrations, and another programming that doesn’t fit into the regular sessions.

Afterward, the code sprint and the Core Developer Summit provide opportunities to pitch in and make Drupal better through writing code, improving documentation, or engaging in conversations.

There are even paid pre-conference training courses available, led by professional trainers and held at the University of Chicago’s Gleacher Center, steps from the Sheraton Hotel & Towers.

Projected Attendance at DrupalCon Chicago 2011
Attendees at DrupalCon Chicago 2011 will be as diverse as the Drupal community itself. In last year’s DrupalCon San Francisco (April 2010), there were 3,000 attendees representing 20 different countries, with 3,000 additional viewers watching sessions online. Based on these numbers, it’s expected that 4,000 Drupal enthusiasts will attend DrupalCon Chicago 2011!

For all these reasons, Promet is thrilled to be sponsoring DrupalCon Chicago 2011. Hope to see you there!
